My mother died at such an early age for me, I never got to hear her voice or even lay eyes on her - that I can remember. As much as your mother embarrassed you, she shaped who you are today and it is always so heart warming when I hear of woman coming to that realization and being at peace with their maternal relationship. Enjoy your mom. She may be nutty, embarrassing and 1/2 crazed but she's your mom and if you aren't careful - you will end up just like her!
